NFL Divisional Round Predictions

AFC:

Patriots over Ravens

I know for a fact that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady did not forget last year’s embarrassing loss to the Ravens on their home field. In my opinion the Ravens match up the best with the Pats, even better than the Jets, because they play great defense but their offense can also put up points. I expect another close game between these two teams but the Patriots will get their revenge and move on to the AFC Championship.

Colts over Steelers

Similar to the Green Bay Packers, the Indianapolis Colts had an up and down year dealing with inconsistent play and a number of injuries but down the stretch they pulled it together and gained some positive momentum into the postseason. I believe their momentum will continue against Big Ben and the Steelers with an impressive road victory in Pittsburgh. This victory will match them with none other than their rival for the past decade the Patriots. Brady and Manning again, it does not get better than that.

NFC:

Saints over Bears

I’m not sold on the Bears as much as others are. Something about Cutler has me questioning if he has become consistent enough to the point where we do not expect him to make the bonehead interceptions anymore. In my opinion he will always be have that gun-slinger mentality which can be great at times but can also be devastating. I see the Saints going into Soldier Field and proving they can win in cold conditions and move on to the NFC Championship.

Falcons over Packers

This was a hard one for me seeing that the Packers barely lost to the Falcons in Atlanta during the regular season due to an idiotic penalty by GB to put the Falcons in FG range to win the game. Sadly I think penalties are going to be the undoing of the Packers once again. I expect this to be very close similar to the regular season game with the outcome to remain the same.
